John McGlynn provides Falkirk injury update ahead of Hearts trip in Scottish Premiership
John McGlynn provides Falkirk injury update ahead of Hearts trip.
Falkirk manager John McGlynn revealed that full-back Keelan Adams has returned to full training after a frustrating start to his second season in the Scottish Premiership.
The former Cumbernauld Colts ace, 24, played his role in last season’s success - but he has not played a minute of competitive football so far this campaign. A bounce game has been arranged for the international break, with the likes of Adams, Joe Gardner and Ben Krauhaus all very much on the mend.
“We've got a game next Thursday,” McGlynn said. “Keelan Adams joined in full training on Monday Joe as well. Ben is back. The three that we've got out now is Aodhan Docherty, Ryan Strain and Leon McCann. Everyone else is back. But there's two of them there, Adams and Gardner, they're just back.
“However, with our full-back situation, it's good to have Keelan Adams back. We managed to put Connor Allan on at full-back and put Jack (McMillan) across to left-back later in the game last Sunday against Celtic. Having a natural right-back with Keelan Adams back available is a bonus.
“Ryan is going to be out for a while. It's a really bad scan report on a thigh injury, an abductor injury. He's going to be a while, easily two months, maybe longer. Leon McCann has got a thigh injury also, not quite as long, but it still could be six, seven weeks, something like that.”
