Jewellers in Falkirk's Howgate Centre faces “regrettable” closure in the New Year
A popular jeweller chain in Falkirk’s Howgate Shopping Centre will pull down the shutters for good in the New Year.
Chisholm Hunter, the family-owned jewellers and diamond merchant, is closing its store in the town at the beginning of 2027. Around five staff members will be affected by the closure.

The store is currently having a closing down sale and is scheduled to shut for good in January after 30 years of operating in the local shopping centre.
The company said there are no plans for the store to relocate within Falkirk, but customers can still visit their other locations across the Central Belt.
Max Brown, retail director at Chisholm Hunter, said: “The closure is regrettable.
“The showroom was Harry Brown’s first outside central Glasgow. Our clients and colleagues have been central to our time in Falkirk, and we cannot thank them enough for the many special moments we’ve shared over the years.
“Affected colleagues will be offered the opportunity to transfer to a nearby showroom. Our Falkirk clients can continue to visit us across the Central Belt, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Livingston, and online.
“The closure does not affect our wider UK plans. We opened at Westfield London and Canary Wharf this year and remain committed to developing our business across the UK.”
