Camelon Juniors make it six wins from six in East of Scotland Premier Division
Camelon Juniors made it six wins from six East of Scotland Premier Division fixtures last Saturday.
The Mariners, who sit three points clear at the top of the table, defeated Sauchie Juniors 2-0 away from home.
Tam Scobbie’s side picked up the three points, and a welcome clean sheet, thanks to goals from Alan Sneddon and Jordan Kirkpatrick.
Speaking to club media after his team’s latest success, delighted boss Tam Scobbie said: “I thought we were excellent. We controlled most of the game. Sauchie really struggled to pick up what we were doing.
"We got down the sides of them and the only disappointment at half-time was that we were only 1-0 up.
"Second half, we knew that they would show a reaction.
"Overall, I am so pleased. We could have scored seven or eight on the day with the quality that we showed."
The boss added: “We focus on ourselves and what we can do. We don’t look at tables and stuff like that.
"If we can keep showing up and playing with the right positive mentality then I know that we will continue to pick up lots of positive results.
"We have witnessed that over these first six league games.
"We look a completely different team from game one. We are picking up on things.”
