Grangemouth offender head butted his partner in the street
A sheriff could not fathom why a woman would want to have a man in her life after he had stuck the head in her.
Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Adam Williams, 40, had pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman – head butting her – in Grahams Road, Falkirk on April 25.
"It was 5pm and the witness and the accused were in the Graeme Hotel,” said the procurator fiscal depute. “They left at 5.30pm and the accused began rambling, becoming annoyed at the witness.
"She decided she wanted to leave and the accused followed her, walking along Grahams Road. The accused came up beside her and head butted her. Police were contacted.”

Simon Hutchison, defence solicitor, said: “He expresses significant remorse for losing his temper on the day. The relationship was ongoing, but he had not been able to have any contact with her for the last six months due to his bail conditions.
"They are both keen to resume their relationship.”
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane could not hide her amazement that a woman would want someone back in her life after he had assaulted her in this manner.
"If a man head butted me I would never want to see him again,” she said. “This astonishes me.”
She placed Williams, 88 Portal Road, Grangemouth, on a supervised community payback order for two years with the condition he attend and engage in the Caledonian domestic abuse programme and complete 160 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
"Let’s see if you can actually start behaving towards woman,” she said. “It’s time to start looking at your attitiude.”
