Brain injured Stenhousemuir man 'child' threatened to kill police
Andrew Jones, 41, appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having admitted threatening behaviour at his 123 Johnston Avenue, Stenhousemuir on August 6 last year.
The charges stated Jones made threats to kill and struggled with police officers.
“There was concern for the accused’s wellbeing,” said the procurator fiscal depute. “Police attended at his home address where he refused medical assistance. He followed police outside to the driveway and started shouting and a struggle took place.
"He was taken to the ground in a controlled manner, saying to officers ‘I’ll kill you’.”

Michael Lowrie, defence solicitor, said: “He has suffered a brain injury and gets very confused. Dealing with him is very often like dealing with a young child. Drink was take on this occasion and that’s never a good plan for Mr Jones.
"He has no real clarity of thought and struggles to engage with court orders.”
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane placed Jones on a structure deferred sentence until January 21 next year.
