Falkirk father and son band bond with Marco Pierre White over whisky tune

An electronic blues band featuring a Forth Valley father and son have cooked up a tasty collaboration with celebrity chef Marco Pierre White.

Chris & Reece – aka Chris and Reece Wilson – mix Chicago blues with electronica, spoken word and gothic Americana and have made a habit of working with some famous names, including Madchester monarch Bez and that diamond geezer Danny Dyer.

Chris hails from Stirling and his son Reece is a Bairn. Their latest project, now available on digital formats, sees them teaming up with Leeds lad Marco Pierre White on a new track called Scottish Whisky.

The chef has described the track as “very sexy”.

Chris and Reece hope Scottish Whisky evokes visions of a smoky blues club late at night and its “eerily atmospheric melody” is “further heightened with the cinematic spoken word lyricism” of Mr Pierre White.

A band spokesbloke said: “With this collaboration Chris and Reece see themselves as the Mark Ronson to Marco’s Amy Winehouse.”
