Polmont residents invited to have their say on improving safety on local road
Members of the public are being encouraged to share their views on improving road safety near a primary school in Polmont.
Falkirk Council has launched a survey on potential transport issues around St Margaret’s Primary School following reports of possible dangerous driving near the school.
The council says public feedback will help it develop safer, more efficient movement to and from the school.
Regular users of Salmon Inn Road are being asked to complete the survey, which aims to show how the route is used for transport and public access.
Residents with ongoing concerns about walking and cycling access, road safety or parking are also encouraged to have their say.
Running east to west between Laurieston and Polmont, the road links the B810 Station Road with the junction of the A803 and Grandsable Road.
As well as providing direct access to the school, it connects Meadowbank Health Centre, Polmont Sports Centre, local shops and homes.
Responses are expected to play a key role in shaping future improvements to Salmon Inn Road, helping the council identify priority upgrades for the area and better understand what local people need from the route.
