The drop in event, which takes place at the carers centre in Bank Street, Falkirk, is open to any unpaid carer looking for information, support and advice.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “If you look after a partner, child, family member or friend who could not manage without your help due to illness, disability, mental health challenges, addiction or frailty, then you are a carer.

“Come along to find out more about your rights, benefits, support services, short breaks, employment rights and other help available to carers.

"Meet our friendly team, ask questions and connect to local support services.”

With more than 5.8 million unpaid carers across the UK, Carers Rights Day is about making sure carers know their rights and can access the support they need.

No booking is required and all unpaid carers are welcome to drop in.
