Sharon McNeil, gala day chairperson, said: “We’ve got all the favourites this year – the fun fair, stalls, food trucks and inflatables. We’ve also got a nine hole pitch and putt.

"We usually get good support from the community and we hope they will come out and support us again this year.

"We’ve a few different groups performing and they are local. We try to showcase local talent and let people see what’s on offer in our community.

"We’ve been keeping an eye on the forecast and we’re hoping it’s going to stay dry.

"We’ve had a lot of support with our fundraising which has been great, both from our lifetime sponsors, local businesses hosting fundraisers for us and from people in the village.

"It has really helped us as we rely solely on our fundraising each year.”

The gala’s lifetime sponsors are Fanatikool Furnishings; JTM Contracting and MAT Smart Repair Specialist.

The 2026 event has also received sponsorship from Blackmill Bar & Kitchen; Clark’s Soft Ices; Courtyard Bar, Kitchen & Rooms; H and J Burgoyne Van and Car Sales-Hjb Hire Drive and Taylor's Pleasure Fairs.
