Baby of the week: Bonnybridge tot Zara Livingstone

Mum Kayla Young, 29, is an HGV driver and dad Gary Livingstone, 35, is an HGV mechanic. Zara, who lives in Bonnybridge, has a big brother Riley, step brothers Blake and Arlo and a step sister Ayda.

Mum said her pregnancy and birth was all brilliant. She worked up until she was 37/38 weeks and was induced at 39 weeks through choice and history. Mum had her waters broken at 6am and Zara made her entrance into the world at 2.27pm. Mum nearly had a water birth, the pool was running but Zara wanted to come quick.

Mum and dad chose Zara’s name as a spur of the moment. Dad chose her first name and both of her middle names are those of her grandmothers.

Mum said Zara is absolutely fantastic and is fully of smiles.

Her proud grandparents are Jim Young, Lorraine Young, Elaine Belchamber, Trisha Buist and Gary Livingstone.

Mum and dad would like to thank their parents and friends that helped them navigate having their baby. They would also like to thank the staff at Forth Valley Royal for the care both while giving birth and afterwards.
