Falkirk Care at Home Service expands following recruitment drive
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership is welcoming 14 new colleagues following the first phase of recruitment to expand the Care at Home Service.
The recruitment drive follows approval of a new model for Falkirk Council’s Care at Home Service, which will see the in-house team grow and focus on reablement, crisis response and supporting people with more intensive care needs.
The redesign aims to help more people remain independent at home, support timely hospital discharge, and meet increasing demand for care across the Falkirk area.
A new recruitment approach streamlined the hiring process by inviting eligible candidates to a recruitment centre, where interviews, initial pre-employment checks and provisional job offers were all completed on the same day.

Daniel Stoddart, Care at Home and review lead, said: “Bringing new colleagues into the team is an important step in building the Care at Home service we need for the future.
"As demand for support continues to grow, expanding our workforce will help us provide high-quality care to more people in their own homes. We’ve also been listening carefully to our existing workforce.
"Their feedback is helping shape working patterns and the future development of the service, ensuring our services are great places to work, while also continuing to deliver excellent care for local people.”
The new team members will be instrumental in allowing the service to expand the range of reablement support it offers – allowing people to maximise their independence before a longer-term care package is put in place if needed.
A further recruitment drive is planned for January.
