Supermarket chain to give Falkirk workers Boxing Day off
Popular supermarket chain, Aldi, has announced its Falkirk stores will be closed this Boxing Day.
Stores across the UK will shut to give colleagues a break over the holidays.

The UK’s biggest discounter will reopen on Sunday, December 27. To allow colleagues to celebrate the festive period with loved ones, Aldi will also be closed on New Year’s Day before reopening on Saturday, January 2, 2027.
Leading up to Christmas, store hours will vary across locations and many will extend their hours to support customers with their festive shopping. Customers can use the Aldi Store Finder nearer the time to check the latest opening hours at their local store.
Rachel Geary, communications director at Aldi UK, said: “Closing our stores on Boxing Day is one way of saying thank you and giving colleagues a proper chance to rest, switch off and spend more time with the people closest to them.”
