Falkirk in lockdown: Council assesses impact of 'necessary' tighter restrictions

A legal requirement to stay at home came into force from midnight on Monday - with people only allowed to leave for ‘essential purposes’ or for outdoor exercise.
Residents are only allowed to meet one person from one other household outdoors, and schools will remain closed.

Hide AdCouncillor Cecil Meiklejohn, leader of Falkirk Council, said the rise in COVID cases made the tighter restrictions inevitable.
She said the council would make a fuller statement on Tuesday once it had fully weighed up all the changes.
