Falkirk lockdown: Readers call for enforcement of tough new COVID restrictions

People have been responding to this afternoon’s announcement from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon that it will be a legal requirement for people to stay at home except for essential reasons from tomorrow for at least the rest of January.
She added the 2021 lockdown will be similar to the one put in place in March last year.

Hide AdA number of comments on The Falkirk Herald Facebook page believe the return to total lockdown is a case of closing the gate after the horse has bolted.
Jo Sinclair said: “Too late – should have happened before Christmas.”
Bernadette McGuckin: “Streets are heaving around my way lots of teens and people out in groups.”
And some believe even greater restrictions should be put in place.
