Bo'ness exhibition to showcase decades of tradition and fundraise for Fair Day
A special exhibition highlighting decades of Bo’ness tradition is coming to town this weekend.
A celebration of Fair Day history will be taking place in Bo’ness Town Hall on Saturday, November 14 from noon until 4pm.

The event, which is the latest fundraiser for the Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival, will feature outfits and accessories worn by past Fair Day retinues across the years.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: “Whether you’re looking to spot a familiar dress, reminisce with friends, or simply admire the craft and spectacle of retinues gone by, everyone is invited to take a stroll down memory lane.”
Entry to the exhibition is £5 (£2.50 for children) plus booking fee. Buy your tickets in advance at https://tikt.link/bfdoutfit or at the door on the day.
There will be the chance to enjoy a cuppa after viewing the exhibition and visitors can try their luck at the tombola.
The Fair Day outfit exhibition is just the latest in a series of upcoming fundraisers planned by the event’s organising committee. Others include a ceilidh in the Town Hall on November 28; Santa’s Festive Brunch on December 12 and a screening of Santa Claus: The Movie at the Hippodrome on December 15.
