He was brought on to replace Robbie Mutch in the midweek defeat to East Stirlingshire and also took part in the second half of Saturday’s emphatic 6-2 win over Raith Rovers at Stark’s Park where he was beaten by a penalty.
The goalkeeper has been with the Bairns since the opening days of pre-season training, The Falkirk Herald understands, and was pictured in the club’s photo gallery during a team meeting with managers David McCracken and Lee Miller.

Falkirk currently only have Mutch contracted in the first team and are on the look-out for a back-up to the number one, who displaced former Dundee United and Rangers goalie Cammy Bell in the first team last term.
Ramsbottom is even taller than the 6’4” Mutch, but only played eight times at Cappielow last season after being recuited from Alfreton Town by David Hopkin. He conceded the winner against the Shire to striker Robbie Young who earned a deal with the Lowland League side.
After Bell left last season Falkirk filled the back-up goalkeeper spot with a range of stoppers including ex-Bairns Callum Erskine and Graham Bowman before McCracken and Miller elected to sign Calum Ferrie on loan from Dundee. However he did not feature at all before lockdown.
Erskine, a former Academy goalkeeper, was on trial for Stenhousemuir against Dunfermline on Saturday. He previously played at Bury.
