The funding boost will go towards new toys, games, and activities for the children that use the centre.

Dennyloanhead Community Centre said: “We are getting ready to launch our new Community Kids Club. This fantastic donation will help us get the project off to a great start. It will go towards purchasing new toys, games and activities for the children, to help create a fun, welcoming space for them to enjoy.

“The support from BEAR Scotland will make a real difference as we begin this exciting new project for children and families in our community.

“A very special thank you to Layne White at BEAR for nominating us for this award.”

The donation stems from BEAR Scotland’s commitment to working alongside communities in the area it operates in. With the Regional Charity Initiative, staff at the company can put forward a local charity or cause to receive £750.

Layne White, BEAR Scotland HR business partner, said: “I nominated the Dennyloanhead Community Centre to get this funding because it is at the heart of the local community. It brings people together, helps reduce isolation, and creates a welcoming space where everyone feels included.

“They honestly go above and beyond in tackling poverty head-on as well as the hidden poverty in the area. I am delighted that BEAR Scotland can support them to continue to do what they do best.”
