Crowds gather to pay tribute after death of teenage boxer Scott Martin

Family and friends have paid tribute to teenage boxer Scott Martin from Falkirk, who died on New Year’s Day.

Fireworks were launched in memory of the former St Mungo’s High School pupil, at a socially distanced balloon release event in Victoria Park, Falkirk from 5.30pm to mark his birthday today.

His passing had left friends and family in shock on January 1.

Scott, who was 16, was a top youth footballer who played for teams including Falkirk, Partick Thistle and Hearts.

There was a balloon release in memory of boxer Scott Martin.

Police were aware of the event.
