Craig Eddie, 23, is the bookies’ favourite to win the 2021 version of the ITV contest – and pupils and staff at his former school couldn’t be happier for him.

St Mungo’s High School in Falkirk has produced a video to spur on the alumni ahead of Saturday night’s grand finale.

In the clip, headteacher Stephen Phee says: “I’m delighted to say that you’re in the final of The Voice UK.

“Just remember your old headteacher when you become a millionaire and famous. Thank you.”

Craig’s form teacher is also among those to send a message of encouragement and recalls his YouTube music videos as a teenager.
