Syngenta sign Smith to add more senior experience at the Dyes

Syngenta Juniors have signed Falkirk’s Scottish Cup finalist David Smith.

The former Scotland under-21 moved to Grangemouth from League One Stranraer.

With a background ranging from Raith Rovers, Hearts and the Bairns, the Dyes are delighted to sign the versatile player who hails from Abronhill.

Syngenta manager Allan Walker said : “I am absolutely delighted to have someone of David’s experience and ability having playing almost 200 games at senior level and representing Scotland from under 16 all the way up to under 21 level.

“To be able to attract David just shows the vision and ambition within the club.”

Smith joins other names familiar to Falkirk Herald readers including former Stenhousemuir, Ross County and Chelsea reserves defender Kevin mcKinlay, who is a player coach, former Falkirk forward Ryan Millar and ex-Shire defender Steven Jackson.
