Odds on next permanent Falkirk manager

McIntyre, who lifted the Scottish League Cup with The Staggies in 2016, had been linked with the job the last time it was available before the club appointed Paul Hartley.

He had started out as 3/1 favourite before his odds came drastically in to 1/1 shortly after Scottish bookmaker McBookie opened the market. After a move odds-on he is back to even money.

The biggest mover in the market has been Kenny Miller, in to 6/4 from 12/1 when the market opened this morning.

Jim Duffy, who managed Falkirk from 1988-1989, is the third favourite at odds of 8/1.

Duffy left his job as manager of Greenock Morton this summer after four years in charge at Cappielow and is many fans top choice to take over the role.

Also at 8/1 is a man the Bairns faithful will be familiar with, former gaffer John Hughes.

‘Yogi’ has been out of work after a nightmare run in charge of Raith Rovers last season which ended after just five months with Rovers relegated to League 1.

However, Falkirk fans will have fond memories of the man who oversaw their last promotion to the top division in 2005.

Assistant Manager Gordon Young is 10/1 to land the role full time while other notable names include former Bairns striker Lee Miller at 14/1 and previous Falkirk managers Peter Houston, Ian McCall and Steven Pressley at 16/1.

Unlisted though are the likes of Russell Latapy, Owen Coyle, Stevie Aitken and Stewart Petrie.
