“That is easier to fix than if you aren’t creating enough chances.
“I’m not worrying about it, I have been in this situation a few times as a player and so will most other footballers.
“When you get that one goal you tend to go on and hit a real purple patch.

“Looking back to last year, the 6-0 game at Queen’s Park killed our league season.
“That can’t happen again, we need to put this result behind us and start winning.
“If we won a few games in a row the Airdrie result will be forgotten about.”

McGuffie added: “We need to start the league well. You don’t teams to get away from you early on.
“I’m not getting carried away and saying it is must win, but if we won’t win it then we are already behind by a fair bit.
“Our mentality going into the match is that it is must win and I think that is a good thing.

“Players need to be in certain positions and it is very much risk and reward.
“If one or two are off it, the whole team really suffers.
“Everyone is getting to grasps with it but against Airdrie we didn’t quite press properly.
“It wasn’t down to a lack of effort, just that we didn’t help ourselves.
“We have worked on that this week.”
