Pupils triumph is in the pipeline

Larbert High School pupils triumphed in this year's STEM in the Pipeline competition.

They presented their solutions to industry professionals from the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) at the final at The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

The judges commented on how the team worked exceptionally well together, with each individual displaying “extraordinary team player mentality”.

The STEM in the Pipeline programme has been running in Aberdeen for more than ten years but this was the first programme to be organised in the Central Belt.

It has been funded as part of a package of measures to support the UK oil and gas industry.

TechFest is an Aberdeen-based charity which aims to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities to young people and the wider community.
