The Voice: Winner Craig Eddie's debut single rises up Official Big Top 40 ahead of Justin Bieber track

The Voice star Craig Eddie’s debut single has made the top ten of The Official Big Top 40 – just a week after the Falkirk district man won the ITV show.

The 23-year-old’s self-written track, Come Waste My Time, was confirmed as the eighth-most downloaded and streamed song in the country on Sunday night.

The record finished two places above global pop icon Justin Bieber’s latest hit Hold On.

Craig tweeted: “Thank you so much everyone who has streamed or downloaded Come Waste My Time.

“LET’S GOOOOOOO.”

Craig had already made history on The Voice when Come Waste My Time became the best-performing self-written winner’s single and reached the top of the UK iTunes chart.

Praising Scottish fans after winning the live final on March 20, he said: “I just want to say thank you very much because without your support I wouldn’t be here.”
