Craig sang his own track, Come Waste My Time, in Saturday night’s live final as millions watched the 23-year-old claim victory and secure a professional record deal.
His heartfelt performance hit the right note with viewers as thousands have downloaded the single – putting the former Greggs worker in atop the iTunes chart ahead of Nathan Evans’ Wellerman (Sea Shanty) and All You Ever Wanted by Rag'n'Bone Man.

He said: “I’m still in that dream-like mind state because it doesn’t actually feel like that did just happen because it is so surreal.
