A number of schoolchildren at St Margaret’s Primary School were told to remain at home when it was confirmed a pupil had returned a positive test.

A Falkirk Council spokesman said: “A number of pupils have been required to self-isolate following the confirmation that an individual pupil contracted Covid.”

Elsewhere, an entire class has been ordered to self-isolate at a Grangemouth school after a pupil tested positive for Covid-19.
