The class, believed to be at Bowhouse Primary School, in Tinto Drive, Grangemouth, was sent home this week.

Falkirk Council would not name the school involved, but did confirm the positive test.

A spokesman said: “A primary two class has been required to self-isolate following the confirmation an individual pupil contracted COVID-19 via community transmission and not from attending school.”
