Social media users are being asked to keep an eye out for a West Highland White Terrier which went missing at The Kelpies in Falkirk.

Angus the Westie was last seen at the Scottish tourist attraction on Saturday morning.

A series of Facebook posts relating to his disappearance have been shared almost 2000 times in the past 24 hours.

Owner Susan Docherty is urging anyone who is in the area to look out for her pet.

Her post reads: “Angus has gone missing over The Kelpies.

“He ran off at the multi-coloured huts at the basin. If you are over there keep an eye out for him.

“He is a Westie with a red tartan collar and wearing a Julius harness.

“Please if you are in the area keep any eye open. Angus is friendly but does not like getting lifted and would run away from you if he felt threatened so caution on approach.”
