There might not be much action on the greens of Laurieston Bowling Club at the moment, but members are keeping busy, forming a community support group to help residents during the COVID-19 lockdown.

A spokesperson for the group said: “As Scotland enters an extended period of lockdown, villagers who require assistance are encouraged to text or call our community support group.”

Made up of bowling club members and residents from Laurieston and further afield, the group wants to help individuals and families in Laurieston who are in need of support – particularly those who are over 70, or pregnant, self-isolating or have an underlying health condition.
