Falkirk rail commuters face further disruption due to flooding at Polmont

Last month’s flooding is still causing headaches for rail passengers as services to Edinburgh continue to be disrupted.

Engineers are still working to repair flood damage on the lines and services have been altered to account for this.

A Scotrail spokesperson stated: “There's major disruption to services between Aberdeen & Dundee, and also between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk, and Dunblane. If you're travelling between Edinburgh and Glasgow, please use our trains via Bathgate – these all have six carriages.”
