Grangemouth residents urged to reveal what life is really like in the industrial town

Friends of the Earth (FOE) Falkirk are collecting views from Grangemouth residents who have to live close to the petrochemical industry.

Entitled Living within the Glow 2021, the study is looking for people’s stories about living in the shadow of industry and the problems this can cause. A similar survey was carried out back in 2005.

A FOE Falkirk spokesperson said: “We are asking questions about current concerns and future hopes and we are looking for a diversity of views to represent the local community in Grangemouth across the Falkirk area and beyond.

“In the run up to COP 26 in Glasgow we are looking to update the 2005 report to share with local residents and communities in similar situation in Scotland, the UK and across the oil and gas supply chain across the globe.

"Please take time to consider and write down your answer to the two questions in the link.”
