Man attacked woman walking with young son in Forth Valley street

A woman was attacked as she walked along a Forth Valley street with her young son.

The 29-year-old had been walking in Stirling Street, Alva last night with her child, who was on a scooter at the time, when a man approached and assaulted her before leaving the area.

The incident took place at around 8.45pm.

The woman was uninjured but left shaken. She was helped by a shop assistant before calling for police.

The suspect is described as white, possibly in his 30s, around 5ft 10in and of stocky build.

He was wearing a dark sports-style zipper top, grey jogging bottoms and light-coloured trainers. He had short dark hair with a receding hairline.

Sergeant Andy Chalmers, of Alloa Police Station, said: “While we can be thankful that this incident did not lead to more serious injuries, it was clearly extremely distressing for the victim and her son.

“If you have any information, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 3799 of January 24.”
