Cyclist (88) dies in Forth Valley crash

An 88-year-old man has died following a crash in Forth Valley.

The man had been cycling an electrically assisted pedal bike on the B822, one mile south of Kippen, when he was involved in a collision with a car at around 3.25pm on Friday.

He was taken to the Forth Valley Royal Hospital by ambulance but died a short time later.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Police inquiries are ongoing.
