MP backs call to end stigma over HIV
Martyn Day MP has signed HIV Scotland’s ‘Generation Zero’ pledge which commits to ending HIV stigma through conversations.
The Linlithgow and East Falkirk SNP politician signed up as part of the annual World AIDS Day which took place on Tuesday.
He said: “Often people fear telling family, friends and partners their status which can lead to isolation and mental health problems.”
He added: “By taking a strong position on addressing stigma, inequality and social exclusion, we can make a real difference."
