Pub re-opens under new owners

The premises, in Bo’ness Road, shut down at the start of the week to allow the handover from JD Wetherspoon to take place.

While the name remains the same, the venue is looking to put Sunday lunch back on the menu from this weekend - after it was removed by Wetherspoon management a few months earlier. New food choices will also be available from this week.

Hawthorn Leisure chief executive Gerry Carroll said: “We are delighted to have purchased the Earl of Zetland and welcome staff into the Hawthorn team. We have carefully selected our food and drinks menus to ensure we are delivering great offers to valued customers.

“The opening and re-introduction of the Sunday lunch is only the start of a host of activities, events and deals we have planned for the coming months, all set to deliver a great proposition for locals.”
