The director of a Falkirk photography studio and gallery was among those full of smiles as businesses reopened in the town today.

Close to 1000 shoppers visited the town centre within a matter of hours this morning following the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

Derek Harley, who oversees Derek Harley Photography, was glad he and colleagues were able to welcome customers back to their Kirk Wynd premises – having longed for this moment since the turn of the year.
