I'm a senior reporter who joined the Yorkshire Evening Post in 2022 and whose main topic of interest is crime.

Whether following cases through the courts, reporting directly from crime scenes or talking to communities impacted by crime, I have always strived to become immersed in my stories and get to the heart of what makes the city tick.

Aside from covering the underbelly of Leeds, I also find myself covering human interest stories, business news, political goings-on, restaurant, bar and venue updates and everything in between. It has all contributed to giving me an amazing insight into why Leeds - which I moved to after stints in Sheffield, Manchester and York - is held in such high esteem.

Away from work I’m most likely to be found exploring the various colourful corners of Leeds, running along the canal or watching a gig at one of the city’s many stellar venues - a good few of which I have written up as reviews.
