Police update on body found near Falkirk canal

Police Scotland have issued updated information on the body which was found near the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk yesterday morning.

Officers closed off the area at the junction of Bankside, Main Street and Grahams Road near the Forth and Clyde Canal after emergency services responded to the discovery of a body just after 11am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The body of a 68-year-old man was found. The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
