Wildlife cameraman talks puts people in the picture

Fans of nature programmes are in for a treat when one of the best wildlife cameramen in the business talks in Stirling.

Dunfermline born Doug Allan will talk at macrobert arts centre on his career, which includes work on Sir David Attenborough documentaries such as ‘Life’, ‘Frozen Planet’ and ‘Planet Earth’.

Doug, who started out as a marine biologist after studying at Stirling University, will share photos, footage and stories in his show ‘In the Company of Giants’ on Saturday, April 12 at 7.30 p.m.

Doug said: “Big animals are my passion. I love sharing, first hand with audiences, what it’s like to face a hungry polar bear or to swim with an enormous Southern Right Whale or be stalked by killer whales.”
