Polmont Playgroup will run the socially distanced event from December 11-13 to support Polmont and Brighton businesses, and bring festive cheer to the villages.

Stores in both areas can sponsor an elf/elves for £10 each and display them in their shop window.

Organisers will also print tags for businesses not on main roads and attach these to an elf on any residential/park routes.

Trail maps are on sale so little ones can find enough elves to secure themselves goody bags for collection in Spar or Land and Sea Chip Shop, Polmont.

The event will follow on from Polmont Playgroup’s highly successful Pumpkin Trail.

A spokesman said: “Amongst the feedback we received from the Pumpkin Trail was that many people did not realise we had such great businesses on our doorstep.”
