Fife pilot heading up new sight seeing flight company

A Fife pilot will be showing off some of Scotland's most scenic sights after joining a new sight seeing flight company.

Graham Dawson, from Cupar, has been a commercial pilot for 25 years.

He will be heading up the Border Air’s newly energised sight seeing flight company, Fly Scenic Scotland.

Graham will now be taking passengers on scenic flight experiences all over Scotland.

He said: “I am very excited to be heading up Fly Scenic Scotland, which is a pilot’s dream, enabling you to share the beauty of Scotland from the air with your passengers.

“As a Fifer, I am always proud of the sight of the Forth bridges from the air.”

Coming late in life to flying, Graham qualified as a commercial safety pilot. He spent time in Denmark before returning to Scotland to work at Perth Airport as chief instructor, teaching would be commercial pilots to fly.

With Border Air he pilots aircraft for a range of specialist activities such as agriculture, construction, photography, surveying, observation, patrol and aerial advertisement. Pilot training is still on his remit too.

“Our acquisition by Cloud Global means we can make Border Air Pilot Training the premier choice for LAPL & PPL flight training,” he said.

“We hope to have many more people learning to fly and considering a career in aviation.”
