Dreaming of midsummer music at the Opera

Forth Valley Friends of Scottish Opera will next week welcome St Andrew’s University director of music Michael Downes to talk about Scottish Opera’s new production.

Mr Downes, who is founder of Byer Opera, will be speaking about the forthcoming new interpretation of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The talk is at 2.30pm at the Smith Gallery and Museum In Stirling on Sunday next week (March 8). Entrance is £5, free to students - and includes refreshments.
