The countdown to Christmas will officially begin in Dennyloanhead this week.
Villagers are getting set for the area’s Christmas lights to be switched on this Friday.
Starting at 6.30pm, the ceremony takes place in Haypark Road, opposite the Archibald Russell Centre.
A lucky Head of Muir Primary School pupil has been chosen to flick the switch and illuminate the village for the lead-up to Christmas Day.
