Camelon’s Aldi store to host trolley dash sweep

Aldi’s Camelon supermarket is staging a trolley dash sweep next month, which will have a cash spinoff for a local foodbank.

One lucky shopper will be chosen to do a five-minute sprint around the store, and can take everything they collect home for free.

The shopper will also be given a list of three Scottish products to find, and if they’re successful Aldi will double the cash value of the trolley goods and donate it to a foodbank.

There’s also a Specialbuy bonus entitling the winner to a £50 item of their choice.

Richard Holloway, Regional Managing Director for Aldi Scotland, said: “This year we’ve decided to shake up the rules and offer an extra bonus prize . “If they find all three of our Scottish items around the store the nominated foodbank receives double the donation- it’s a win-win for everyone.”

Anyone aiming to apply needs to fill out an application form in the Redbrae Road store between this Sunday and Saturday next week.

Entrants must be over 18 years old, and must be available to carry out the sweep after 10pm on the chosen date.

Alcohol products are not included in the sweep.

The winner will be chosen before Saturday, April 4.
