From a sizzling, saucy comedy to singalong entertainment via the road to Lisbon, the dramatic offering at FTH could hardly be more varied.

The town hall audience has been well warned to expect the unexpected when the hilariously ribald ‘Wendy Hoose’ hits FTH next Thursday.

The touring production by Birds of Paradis/Randcom Accomplice is written by Johnny McKnight and the play has attracted a string of four and five star reviews.

It has toured throughout Scotland - prompting critics to praise its no holds barred look at sex in the modern world while offering heart, soul and – perhaps most importantly – real belly laughs.

The following week another drama arrives that has proved itself with critics and audiences alike, although its fair to say one half of the Old Firm fans will be better pleased than the other.

Isoceles Theatre presents: ‘On Our Way to Lisbon’ by Patrick Prior, which tells the story of how, in 1967, Celtic became the first British team to win the European Cup with a victory over the mighty Inter Milan.

Two fans look back and fondly recreate the night that Jock Stein’s young team beat the hardest team in the world and draped Europe in green, white and gold.

In this funny and poignant play, the two capture the epic campaign playing commentators, managers, players and fans.

The glory of the famous victory is set against the drab reality of their Glasgow existence...was Celtic’s victory the best moment of their lives?

Even if you’re not a fan of the beautiful game, this is a great evening of theatre.

But it’s not just adults who are catered for in this season’s town hall offering.
