The hilarious tale of three OAP cleaners who decide to start their own sex chat line is heading for FTH next week.

‘Dirty Dusting’ is heading for Falkirk with an all star cast as part of a national tour – and you may have spotted one of hundreds of dusters containing the show’s details, which have been left all over the district as part of a novel marketing ploy.

The play tells the story of three cleaning ladies, Olive, Gladys and Elsie, who are threatened with redundancy by overzealous office manager Dave.

Feeling they have little chance of gaining employment elsewhere, the ladies try to think of a way of boosting their falling income.

One evening, a chance wrong number ringing in the office gives them a great idea – why not run a sex chat line?

After all, no one will know what they look like or who they are so they could be onto a winner ... Unsurprisingly, things don’t go entirely according to plan as they launch ‘Dirty Dusting Telephone Sex - A Chat Line that Really Cleans Up’, especially since all the while they are trying to keep the scheme a secret from their husbands, children and grandchildren!

The result is a hilarious comedy about OAP cleaners who start talking dirty and end up filthy rich!

The play was created by North East based writers Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood back in 2003.

Since then has toured all over Britain and Ireland, including runs at Newcastle Theatre Royal and the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin as well as touring New Zealand and Australia.

It recently played to packed audiences in the Isle of Man and is heading for Spain next year.

Dirty Dusting is on at FTH on Sunday, October 13 and Monday, October 14.

Tickets, priced £20 (£18.50 conc) are available from the Steeple Box Office on (01324) 506850.
