Falkirk West End Star Kieran Brown is heading to Glasgow this panto season - oh yes he is!
The 35-year-old from Larbert, along with his fellow cast members from last year’s festive show at the Kings were so loved by audiences that the theatre decided to reunite them for the 2013 production.
Kieran will play the title role in ‘Aladdin’, alongside Karen Dunbar, Des Clarke, Gavin Mitchell and Jenny Douglas, and he’s delighted to be able to come home for Christmas.
The former Falkirk Children’s Theatre star said: “I was thrilled when I heard last year that they wanted us all back.
“I had the best time last year – everything was just right, great cast, audience, the theatre, the city.
“I couldn’t be happier!”
And this year also sees the return of the traditional pantomime dame, not seen on the King’s stage since Eric Pott’s portyal in 2006, with Widow Twankey being played by Gordon Cooper.
After playing Buttons last year, radio presenter Des had no hesitation in accepting the role of Wishee Washee in Aladdin and returning to the King’s Theatre.
He said: “I can honestly say I have never experienced anything quite like the King’s at Christmas in my life and the audience reaction to us was phenomenal.’’
