Behind the Wall has proved a popular place for stand-ups to create some big laughs over the years and three mirth merchants will hope that continues in May.
Entitled ‘Gagging For It’, the event takes place at Falkirk’s Melville Street venue on Thursday, May 22, and features crazy compere Scott Gibson raising hell before introducing Phil Differ, the man critics call a true “comedy genius” and the creative force behind the national institution that is ‘Only and Excuse’.
Also on the bill will be Capital Breakfast’s witty banter boy Des Clarke, a much beloved veteran of the Funny in Falkirk festival.
‘Gagging For It’ organisers said: “We are looking at building a series of events like this throughout the country over the next year. The gig at BTW is a tester to see the demand and appetite for this style of show.
“Hopefully, with this mix of experience, styles and material, the evening will become a regular one at BTW, giving local fans of comedy a brilliant night out without them having to travel to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
“The guys are really excited about the prospect of this gig and, all going well, we’ll see them at BTW again very soon.”
Gales of laughter are forecast from 8.30 p.m.
