A television star will perform in Larbert next week in a charity concert.
Tom Urie, known as Big Boab in BBC soap ‘River City’, will take to the stage at Larbert High School on Friday, August 10. The actor, who is also a talented musician, will perform alongside I. Tennessee to raise money for Scottish Autism.
Organiser Dale Martin, a former community constable in Stenhousemuir who now works at the Scottish Police College, has been fundraising for charity since he left the Royal Marines in 1991 doing various feats including climbing Mount Everest and will tackle Kilimanjaro in January.
Dale, from Larbert managed to secure the school as the venue as his two daughters go to school there and hopes to raise as much as possible for Scottish Autism.
He said: “I know Tom so he was happy to be involved and Class 98 that run the school were great in giving us the venue.
“Scottish Autism is a fantastic local charity and they need all the support they can get.”
The night kicks off at 7 p.m. and tickets will be available on the door, priced £10. To reserve your email Dale at firstname.lastname@example.org
