Falkirk Junior Gaelic Choir will be competiting at the forthcoming Stirling Mod

Stirling Mod (Mod Shruighlea) is seeking entries for the annual festival of Gaelic culture.

With competitions for young pipers and fiddlers and for Gaelic singers of all ages, this is a great local showcase for traditional talent.

Mod entries must be in by March 21, to give the committee time to get the packed programme finalised.

This year’s themed competition, is looking for songs on the theme of Homecoming. Everyone from soloists to folk groups to choirs can enter this informal competition.

Falkirk Junior Gaelic Choir will hope to repeat last year’s success when they won two of their three competitions.

Mod Shruighlea is on Friday, May 16 (piping and fiddle) in St Modan’s High School and on Saturday, May 17 (vocal and oral competitions) in the Golden Lion Hotel, Stirling, and Allanpark Church halls.
